Lost City is Reborn! From the imagination of Lefty Lipuma as a hub for Art and Community, Lost City Tattoo was originally established in New York City in 2004. Back when the city was still recovering from the tragedy of 9/11, riots in Times Square, raising unemployment rates, and a falling economy among numerous other devastating blows. Being his hometown and where he resided at the time, Lefty could see first hand that New York was suffering; it had lost its way. That’s when the name Lost City came to fruition, as not only a tattoo shop; but also as a place for artists of all kinds to come share ideas and be openly creative with one another. A social club of artistic inspiration. The shop organized community charity events, gallery shows for up and coming artists, and neighborhood get-togethers. Suddenly people in the community had a place to belong and help support each other through their misfortunes together.
Lefty made his way to Minneapolis in 2019. Since then, like all of us, he’s experienced local lockdown/quarantine, unwarranted police violence, and rampageous riots that have rocked our dear city to its core, leaving the people of its community lost. Upon deciding to start up another shop, he felt it only be right to open it as “Lost City” once again, with a mission to maintain and uphold the same hopes and goals for the community as his original location.
Lost City is a Fully Custom Tattoo Shop located on the south-Southside of Minneapolis. Right on the intersection of 48th St & Chicago Ave.
Walk-Ins Accepted, Appointments Recommended.
We only work with Tattoos, no Piercings sadly.

Directly next to Pizza Hut on the Corner. Across from Ken & Norms Liquor, Southside Barbershop, Sovereign Grounds Coffee. It’s also down the Street from Bauhaus Framing, Undgrnd MPLS, the delicious Town Hall Tap, & the Parkway Movie Theater.
